Yes. In business meetings, it is best to be brief and to the point and not waste unnecessary time. This is the way things are done in the U.S., but not in the Mediterranean, Latin American, or many other countries, where there is often an extended period of getting to know each other before any business is conducted. And in some countries, business negotiations themselves can be hectic: your presentations will be interrupted; there will be multiple conversations occurring at once, and children may be running around.

Don’t forget this international business etiquette practices when you do business with companies from other countries.
