In a formal event, you will have an opportunity to meet a ton of great people. While it’s okay to talk about what you do, and how you solve a particular problem when people ask you what you. This is not an occasion you should use to pimp your products or promote your business unless of course, you’re attending a special event for network. A formal event is a chance to get to know people, make new contacts, and be genuinely interested in your new connections by discussing matters that provide value. After the event, keep providing a valuable perspective in your new relationship until it is contextually appropriate to discuss business.
