How to Handle Your Emotions

HELLO!!!


Happy Monday (or Sunday for those of you on the other side of the world!) Okay, just want to know. How do you feel today?


What are some feelings you are having right now?

 

Do you feel happy, sad, joyful, confused, worried, depressed or angry?

 

Every day, we all feel different types of emotions or feelings. These emotions are part of who we are and what we do with them is important.

 

When something happening around you affects you negatively do these 3 things:

📌Identify how you feel in the situation.

📌What causes you to feel the way you are feeling?

📌What you can do to make the situation better, and choose the best strategy.


How you feel and act when you are down impacts others around you. Have the right attitude, care for yourself mentally, physically, emotion­ally and socially through your words and actions.

 

ACTION STEP:

Take note of how you feel today at different times, take the information down about your feelings and how you act.


📌When I woke up for work today, I felt...


📌When I got to work, I felt...


📌On the job when dealing with the customers/colleagues I felt…

 

📌At lunch, I felt...


📌During a meeting with my boss, I felt…


📌In the evening when I left work, I felt...


📌When I got home, I felt…


Also, if you see a colleague who looks upset in the workplace this week, go talk to them and listen to their feelings. Share with them a time when you were in their shoes and what made you feel better.


Tell someone today that you feel happy they are your colleague/friend!”
