Baby Shower Etiquette

The culture of baby showers originated in ancient times, with various historical influences shaping its evolution. One theory suggests that baby showers may have roots in ancient Egypt, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬... I came across a post recently that delved into the growing trend of expectant mothers exposing their bodies in the name of celebrating baby showers. It sparked some thoughts that I feel compelled to share. Enjoy!

A baby shower is a tradition that serves as a joyful occasion to shower parents-to-be with gifts, advice, and well wishes before the arrival of their new baby, and not this show of appalling nudity we have nowadays. Sometimes, during this ceremony, the baby's name and sex are revealed.

Please, let's uphold baby showers for their intended purpose of celebrating the impending arrival of a new life and supporting expectant parents, and ensure that we maintain the dignity and respect of this joyful occasion, refraining from any inappropriate show of the body or offensive activities that detract from its meaningful purpose.
