Dealing with Disappointment in Business as a Bible-believing Business Owner

When you work hard, you are dedicated to your business, and still, your efforts are marked by more intense disappointment, in spite of fasting, praying and doing God's will, know that this is part of life and not that God has forsaken you.

God wants you to thrive in all aspects of your life, including your business/career and He, has given you the tools, talents, and gifts to do just that. But, it’s easy to forget sometimes when the emotion of disappointment for all the unmet business/career expectations sets in.

Disappointment happens when something is not quite right. Before you persist in pursuing the same failed business goals, look for what is wrong. Is it your process or your expectations? Do you overestimate your outcome and underestimate the “negative” things that might also happen? Is your source faulty? Or is it that principalities and power are causing you to meet a brick wall in your business? Once you nail the source of the disappointment, make decisions that can transform your situation and keep realistic expectations through time as you pursue your business goals.

As a Bible-believing business owner, when you're disappointed, pray, fast, listen and wait patiently for God to answer. Also, read scriptures that will comfort your heart and bring faith, hope, and strength to your spirit.

The following Bible verses will help you to overcome disappointment:

Isaiah 55:8-9

Jeremiah 29:11

Psalm 30:5

Romans 8:28

Psalm 55:22

Matthew 6:6

Psalms 27:14

Psalm 118:24

Isaiah 40:28-31

Philippians 4:13

Never give your disappointment power. You should never allow it to define your outcome, hold you hostage or weigh you down into the sludge of depression. Believe in yourself, and know that you're part of God's plan and He's working on your case even in this time of disappointment.

This week, I wish you favour and mercy in your business and personal life. 💗

Warmly,

Damilola Ogunremi,

Your friend and Coach.
