Business Handshake: Should I Still Extend my Hand?

Incorrect behaviour will backfire, do this instead.

Hey friend,

Ever wish you know the proper greetings to temporarily replace the business handshake until the pandemic pass?

If this sounds like something you’ve been thinking about, you’re not alone. . .

Recently, a seasoned professional emailed me that he doesn’t want to contact the Coronavirus disease by shaking others. He explained, “I am in the marketing profession. I meet lots of people, and I’m wondering how I can still greet people with poise without the business handshake.  Do I still have to greet people with a handshake? Is it okay to use the high-five or wave as a form of business greeting in the corporate world?”

The business master handshake means including the other person in the corporate setting, and it is still, the default greeting in the business world and would never go out of style.

I can’t say whether using high-five or waving as a form of greeting in the corporate world is poor or correct behaviour. But, I’m going to share with you a new business greeting hacks in case you haven’t caught it yet. I learned it from my colleague @kooss_louw

Now without further ado, here’s the tip . . .

“During the Covid-19 period, replace handshake greeting with a hand-on-heart-greeting.” See the photo in the post for example.
