If your, business has a phone line which it should unless you’ve just arrived in a time
machine from the 18th century, then you certainly have existing customers and
potential customers whom you may miss their calls sometimes.
If the message
your machine or service play when you’re unavailable is done right, it will go
a long way toward refining your brand.
Simply keep it brief
and to the point, no customer wants to hear a long song or a message that may
be inappropriate for business.
The following
gives you guidelines and sample script you can work with.
- Your name
- Company name
- Request for the caller’s name, message, and phone number
- Commit to return the call.
Here is a
sample outgoing business message:
“Hello, you’ve
reached Darmie Orem, with DRS Etiquette. I’m away from my phone, but please
leave your name; number and a message and I will return your call. Thank you
for calling.
