At
the start of every New Year, it’s customary to make resolutions that usually
involve becoming a ‘better’ version of ourselves over the next 12 months.
Whatever BIG changes you are aspiring to make in your life this year, you
need to improve your value so you would not abandon your New Year resolutions
before mid-year.
The
great thing about improving your value is that it contributes to mental and
emotional health elevates healthy self-esteem and self-image that helps
diminish any trigger of negative mindset battles that may unconsciously
sabotage your efforts to achieve your goals.
So,
what do you need to do to improve your value?
Every
morning that you’re alive, see it as another opportunity to think positive
thoughts, try to do something well rather than be perfect, view mistakes as
learning opportunities, try new things, recognize what you can change and what
you can’t, push your set goals, take pride in your opinions and ideas,
exercise, and have fun.
Care
for yourself mentally, physically, emotionally and socially through your words
and actions.
Express
yourself effectively and stand up for your point of view, while also respecting
the rights and beliefs of others.
Being
grateful also increases your value. Be thankful for what you have and where you
are in life; not taking anything for granted.
It
is okay to feel down sometimes about the things that may not go the way you have hoped they'd go, but never remain in negative energy or stop believing in your value.
Improve
your value by building healthy self-esteem, feeling good about yourself,
appreciating your worth, taking pride in your abilities, skills and your little
life's accomplishments.
How
you react to your life experiences can diminish or contribute to your value.
You can’t control what others say or do, but you can control how you respond to
what others
say and do. When criticism or unrealistic expectations from others negatively impact your self-image, build a
positive mental picture of yourself, identify your strength and hone it to
improve your value.
Every
morning that you’re alive, see it as another opportunity to reflect on who you are
on the inside, be reminded of your worth, improve your value and influence your
life positively to achieve your New Year goals.
