Several years back I was
told of a man who owned a small business. He was a very hard working man, but
his business was not succeeding. Nevertheless, every time people engaged him to
talk about business, he told them how his business was going to be great. There
was no time he didn’t have a good report about his business. He was always
prophesying victory and blessing the future of his business. He didn’t realize
heaven was taken note of his declaration.
Fortunately, when he was
about fifteen years in business, he was qualified for a business proposal he
submitted years back to the government. He spent the rest of his business life
making profits. He ended up great and wealthy.
In this life, you will not
only reap what you sow, but you will also get what you’re calling into your
life and business. The Bible in Proverbs 12:18 says, "There is one whose
rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings
healing."
As Children of God and
Bible-believing business owners, our tongues have a lot of power.
Proverbs 18:21 confirms
this by saying, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those
who love it will eat its fruits."
This is further seen in
Matthew 18:18, which proclaims, "Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye
shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
These verses prove how
much good or bad our tongues, words can do. So, even if you wake up this Monday
morning feeling the difficult times will only bring slowness in business and
you’re feeling hopeless, don’t verbalize it. Use your words to change the
situation.
